Leaning back, Max took a couple of deep breaths. He wasn't sure what he'd been expecting from the evening, maybe some fucking around but he didn't realize that Cole hadn't even been with a guy yet. That changed the way they were going to go about this for sure. Max liked Cole well enough that he wanted to get to know him better. He didn't want to screw up their friendship either, but he also was attracted enough to see if there was any chemistry between them.

Still, the last thing he wanted was to end up as some sort of rebound. Chewing over his lip, he reached over and drew his thumb over Cole's cheekbone. "I'm having a good time too, and I don't want to fuck with our friendship either, but if you're just getting out of a relationship I don't know how smart is is for us to go messing around. I don't mind taking the lead, but I don't want to be the rebound." He took a deep breath. It wasn't easy for him to say, but Max knew that he meant it, no matter how tempting the body beneath him was.
