There's no real concept of time when he's doing stuff like this, because Max takes as much time as he wants normally, never binding himself to a clock even when he has had to work. That's what strong coffee was always for. He was always an excellent sheriff, but he was also an excellent lover. If it took half the night, then it did. Although, he's not sure how far Cole wants to take things and the further they go, the more tempting it is to do more.
