He doesn't want to give up or let go. He knows at least that much, but he feels guilty for it somehow. ]
Maybe we'll take it slow. I don't ever want to do stupid things and overwhelm you, or make you feel uncomfortable around me. You know. You are already going beyond what you need to do.
