[Real lives are hardly ever as great as vacation rentals. How can they be. Nothing is quite as idyllic as sitting there looking out at the ocean, or having sex on grand king sized bed. He and Jason started on very different terms, but they made a foundation somehow. Max doesn't even know what he did to deserve this anymore-- some of the memories have faded, but he hopes that he might be able to recreate some of the memory drug. It would take a trip back to Roswell though.
He's not ready for that. Until then, he's going to recreate what he can here. There's still a background of trust that hasn't faded, and he knows that Jason is there, and he wants to find it again. It's all worth it. He knows that it is. Look at this, look at him. The alcohol makes everything harder. He probably will recall a lot more in the morning.
One thing that hasn't changed-- Max is having troubles taking his eyes from Jason. He smiles and nods.]
I can stand straight. I'm pretty sure. Alcohol will kick my ass for a while, but I metabolize it quicker, I think. Thanks for this, again. I feel like that's all I'm going to be saying tonight
[There's a furrow in his brow when Max moves forward and still feels his head spin. It frustrates him that he had that much to drink. He knows how to go overboard, and then there's this. Watching Jason closely, Max reaches out when the water's finally filling the tub.]
