[Survival. They've both survived battles, major ones now on each their sides-- not that Max knows about Jason's. He knows some about how Jason grew up, but not a whole lot. He remembers little bits here and there from their time before. It's coming back to him in fits and starts. Mainly he remembers how they couldn't say goodbye. That they needed one enough to stick around and for Max to get a place in the area so that he could be near for as long as he could.
He knows that Jason is the one that gave him the strength of mind to finish putting back together the pieces of himself he'd been missing so that he could make the journey and do what he had to do. It had all come back in a huge rush when he first saw Jason, but then faded away. Max knows that he's got some blocks put in place for self-preservation.
If his all powerful sister were around, she'd sneak up there and take a peek. She'd knock loose his cobwebs and force him to deal with everything, but he figures at this pace, the alien brain is gonna do what it's gonna do. Right now, he's happy to be sitting in this bath across from Jason.
His legs are a little folded up, even if they're laying along Jason's. If he'd stretch out, he'd be all wrapped around the other male, and Max isn't sure how strong they are right now physically and he doesn't want to take advantage of that. It's still a fucking miracle to see him sitting there, so beautiful, as fucking stunning as the day he left him.
Biting his lip, Max swallows down the instant temptation. It's been a long time, but he's not gonna go taking advantage like that.]
It's a lot better. Between the polish, this and looking at you, I think i'm a new Max. I mean, if undressing you wasn't enough to sober a person, I don't know what is.
