[Standing in the kitchen with a cup of coffee in his hand, Max turns the second the door opens. He's torn between moving and staying where he is. It's always a joy to watch Jamie come through the door of their apartment. Max stopped thinking of it as his immediately after he asked Jamie to start staying there. It took a little while before Max got Jamie to realize that he meant that he wanted him there permanently, but it was still so early in their relationship that Max didn't want to say too much-- but once he realized that it wasn't too much, he was as insistent as he dared to be.
Now, there was no hesitance at all. This was their apartment, and there should never be a reason why Jamie didn't feel comfortable coming home to him.
Seeing Jamie so flushed and what looked like.. picked apart had Max changing his opinion about standing. He started to move and made it to the other side of the counter before he was in Jamie's arms, hands instantly tugging at his shirt so his fingers could rest against his lover's flesh. ]
