[Being raw and open is a big part of being in a relationship like this. One doesn't merely become part of another person without allowing that person to know them inside and out, to love them flaws and all. That's the key to love. Max knows this because he's been through it, and he wants to do this with Jason-- he feels like there's the opportunity, because Max is open.
He has no idea exactly how locked up and closed Jason actually is to some parts of himself. The harder parts are every bit as important, maybe even more so because in the end those are the ones that Jason will have to know Max loves about him the most. The fucked-up parts. Max has those too, and he's going to dig deep to share them as well.
Time though, it doesn't all have to be on that very first morning.
Right now, what max is doing is trying to let Jason know that what they are doing is different from what Kyle and he did already.
The alien smiles when Jason says that he wants all of this. It's a relief, and without thinking, max blows out a breath he had been holding. ]
